| The term was originally coined for the Asian businessmen (hence the term “suit”) who tipped the girls lavishly. Now it’s a generic term for any big tipper, e.g., someone who tips double the bill or more. In the case of the foreign-born Asian businessmen they are accustomed to tipping big for no action in the hostess clubs back in their homeland, and they carry over that custom to the American clubs. | |
